Bogasing M4 vs JBL Flip 5

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Short answer: both are discontinued, so this only matters if you are buying used. Used, the Bogasing M4 is the better pick: it ranks #28 of 164 medium speakers by sound quality (rated 4.0/5), against #80 (rated 3.3/5) for the JBL Flip 5. If you want one new, the Earfun Uboom L ranks #2 at $49.79.

Bogasing M4 vs JBL Flip 5

The Bogasing M4 is the better-sounding, louder pick. Super Bass mode gives the most balanced sound. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 99dB at full volume, against 92dB for the JBL Flip 5. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 12 for the JBL Flip 5. It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Flip 5 lacks. The tradeoff: It sounds a bit harsh and thin.

The JBL Flip 5 is the lighter option. Compact and light (1.1 lb) with a carry lanyard. At 1.2 lbs (540 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Bogasing M4 at 1.6 lbs (731 g). It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bogasing M4 lacks. The tradeoff: Boosted upper bass.

Buy the Bogasing M4 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Earfun Uboom L instead.
