#75 MartinLogan Grotto 15: $2,379.99 Estimated Audio Advice eBay
Same family: the MartinLogan Grotto 12 (smaller subwoofer, ranked lower, estimated 4/5).
Pros: MartinLogan’s largest single-driver passive radiator subwoofer: a 15” active aluminum woofer with two 15” passive radiators and a 2000W peak (1000W continuous) Magnitude amplifier, rated 20 to 120Hz (±3dB).
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its output can’t be compared directly with ranked subwoofers; the rating is estimated from MartinLogan’s measured subs; the single-15” Dynamo 1600X reached 120.5dB in the 40 to 80Hz CEA-2010 bands, and the Grotto 15 adds two 15” passive radiators and 1000W continuous. It weighs 53.5kg.
