#14 Monacor SOUND-4BT: $310/pair LTT Versand eBay

Pros: Compact powered stereo pair with Bluetooth aptX, optical input up to 24-bit/192kHz, analog inputs, remote control and a subwoofer output. Spinorama predicts a 5.36 preference score with a subwoofer, 55Hz extension and good 0.143 on-axis smoothness.

Cons: The underlying third-party measurement is low confidence and predicted in-room smoothness is poor at 0.136. The raw preference score is only 2.84 without a subwoofer, maximum output is specified at 98dB per speaker, and Bluetooth is the old 4.0 generation.

How it compares: Just above it: Audioengine HD3 - $49 more. Just below it: Mackie CR3-X - $210 cheaper.
