Pros: WorkshopAddict compared it directly with the Milwaukee M18 PACKOUT Radio 2950-20 and found it better in every way, with fuller bass and clearer voices, and other reviewers called it loud with heavy bass for a jobsite radio. It runs a rated 8 hours at full volume and 16 at half on an M18 5.0Ah battery, also runs on AC power while charging M18 batteries, is IP65 rated, and links with more than 200 Milwaukee AUDIO-LINK speakers and radios. It adds AM/FM radio with 9 presets, Bluetooth 5.3 with a rated 200 foot range, 3A USB-C phone charging and bass and treble adjustment.

Cons: Its bass is nowhere near as deep as top ranked boomboxes like the Tribit Stormbox Blast and Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, which reach down to about 43 Hz and 35 Hz. Its tuning leans hard on bass: Shop Tool Reviews found it bass heavy out of the box, JakeOfALL still heard a lot of bass with the bass control at its minimum, and an owner described weak midrange. WorkshopAddict found it runs out of headroom with more than a little bass boost at high volume. At 8.1 kg it is heavy, it attaches only to the top of a PACKOUT stack rather than anywhere in one like the older radio, it has no aux input, owners report linked speakers drop out while the radio tuner is on, and batteries cost extra.
