Wharfedale Diamond 12.2: $499.00 per pair Passive Amazon eBay
Pros: The larger 6.5-inch standmount model in Wharfedale’s award-winning Diamond 12 series, developed in collaboration with Karl-Heinz Fink. Features a 6.5-inch Klarity polypropylene/mica cone woofer with low-damping surround and a 1-inch woven polyester dome tweeter. Delivers noticeably deeper bass extension (down to 50Hz at -3dB) and greater dynamic authority than the smaller Diamond 12.1, with a rich, natural midrange and refined treble.
Cons: Awaiting official Spinorama NFS score integration. Larger cabinet dimensions require sturdy speaker stands rather than tight bookshelf placement.
