#93 Revel Ultima2 Salon2: $22,000 per pair Discontinued eBay
Older model: the Revel Ultima Salon (ranked higher, rated 4.5/5).
Matching center: the Revel Ultima2 Voice2 (rated 4.3/5).
Pros: Revel’s former flagship: a four-way tower with a 1” beryllium tweeter, a 4” midrange, a 6.5” midwoofer and three 8” woofers. Revel’s measurements show very deep bass, 31.8Hz (-3dB) and about 24Hz (-10dB), for a preference score of 6.15 that reaches 7.11 with an ideal subwoofer.
Cons: The data, which comes from Revel, shows a less even listening window (0.40 deviation) than its smaller Ultima2 siblings. It is large and heavy, and Revel no longer makes the Ultima2 line. Discontinued.
How it compares: Just above it: Bowers & Wilkins 603 S3 - $9650 cheaper. Just below it: Klipsch Forte IV - $5500 cheaper.
