Pros: A three-way center with a 1” soft dome tweeter mounted concentrically in a 4” aluminum midrange, between two 5.25” aluminum woofers. The concentric driver keeps dispersion even in every direction: Audio Science Review measured about ±55 degrees both horizontally and vertically, so it works above or below a screen. Bass reaches 60.1Hz (-3dB) and about 44Hz (-10dB). Measured bass extension of 60.1Hz (-3dB).
Cons: On-axis response is among the least even of any center here (1.34dB average deviation), and its listening window spans 5.7dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, the widest spread of any center here, which colors voices. Sensitivity is a low 85dB. Preference score 3.40 without a subwoofer.
