Pros: A passive installation speaker from JBL’s CV3000 range alongside the measured JBL CV3015: a 12” woofer with the same compression driver. JBL rates it at 97.5dB sensitivity and 129dB peak / 123dB continuous with 90° x 90° coverage, so modest amplifier power fills a restaurant, ballroom or event space.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so it can’t be compared with ranked PA speakers. It is sold through installation dealers rather than general retailers, and it needs an external amplifier with JBL’s recommended EQ for its rated response.
