#508 Samsung EO-IC100: $15.99 Amazon $15.99 eBay

Pros: AKG tuned USB C earphones at about $16 with a built in DAC, inline mic and remote, and a preference score of 74. The midrange stays within 1 dB of target and treble is broadly even.

Cons: Sub bass is 2.4 dB light while upper bass is 3.4 dB up, so bass sounds punchy but not deep, and a 4.3 dB dip near 4.7 kHz softens detail. The cable is fixed, it needs a USB audio capable device, and the score rests on a single measurement.

Frequency Response

How the Samsung EO-IC100 measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is a single measurement, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
