#363 Moondrop Position: $34.99 Amazon $34.99 eBay

Pros: A gaming IEM at about $35 with a preference score of 76 across two measurements, plus a USB C DSP dongle with an AI noise cancelling mic and app EQ. Bass has a mild 1 to 2 dB lift with full sub bass, and the midrange is right on target.

Cons: Treble from 5 to 12 kHz runs 2 to 3 dB low with dips of about 4 dB near 6.1 and 10.3 kHz, so footsteps and cymbals sound slightly softened. It is a wired IEM, so the mic and DSP need the USB C dongle. See headphone amps and DACs with enough power to drive it.

Frequency Response

How the Moondrop Position measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is the average of 2 independent measurements, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
