Different classes, so treat this as a step-up-or-not question rather than a head-to-head. The Xiaomi Sound Party ranks #20 of 166 medium speakers by sound quality at $149.99; the Zealot S86 ranks #65 of 103 large speakers by sound quality at $98.99.

The Xiaomi Sound Party is the lighter pick. An unusually versatile 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) outdoor speaker: IP67 dust/water protection, USB-C power-bank output, NFC pairing, lights, stereo pairing and a claimed 26-hour battery life. At 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) it weighs much less than the Zealot S86 at 5.2 lbs (2.38 kg). The catch: The sound evidence is mixed rather than universally glowing.
What the Zealot S86 does well: Two 79mm drivers fed by a claimed 60W amplifier give the S86 genuine dual-driver hardware for its size, and Zealot publishes a 20Hz - 20kHz response plus under 1% distortion. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Xiaomi Sound Party lacks. The tradeoff: Zealot publishes only a headline 60W figure, with no RMS-versus-peak clarification, sensitivity or maximum SPL, so real loudness is unknown.
Buy the Xiaomi Sound Party ($149.99) for a medium speaker; the Zealot S86 ($98.99) suits a large speaker instead.

The Two Speakers In Full
Xiaomi Sound Party: $149.99 Amazon eBay
Pros: An unusually versatile 1.2kg outdoor speaker: IP67 dust/water protection, USB-C power-bank output, NFC pairing, lights, stereo pairing and a claimed 26-hour battery life. Several independent reviews describe a warm, generally balanced sound with clear vocals and useful bass impact when Bass Boost is off. It is also easy to carry thanks to the retractable handle. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: The sound evidence is mixed rather than universally glowing. One lab review found it loud but flat and unclean with blurred treble, while others hear the Bass Boost mode as boomy upper bass that can bottom out at high volume. It is not the strongest choice for a large party: tested output is around 94dB and rivals such as the Soundcore Boom 2 play louder with deeper bass. SBC is the only Bluetooth codec and there is no aux input.

Zealot S86: $98.99 Zealot eBay
Pros: Two 79mm drivers fed by a claimed 60W amplifier give the S86 genuine dual-driver hardware for its size, and Zealot publishes a 20Hz - 20kHz response plus under 1% distortion. The 8000mAh battery (two 21700 cells) should cover long outdoor sessions, while IPX6, a moulded carry handle and a supplied adjustable shoulder strap suit camping, cycling and beach use. Bluetooth 5.4, TWS pairing, Type-C charging, TF/USB/AUX playback, multi-scenario EQ presets and RGB lighting round out the boombox feature set. No independent lab has measured output, distortion or bass extension, so real-world performance is unverified. Techder Audios calls it one of the better Zealot models and good value at its price.
Cons: Zealot publishes only a headline 60W figure, with no RMS-versus-peak clarification, sensitivity or maximum SPL, so real loudness is unknown. The 8000mAh pack is modest for a 60W boombox, no playtime or charge-time figure is published, and runtime will fall sharply with EQ, RGB lighting and high volume. No companion app or Bluetooth codec support is published, there is no power-bank output, and no warranty term is given. At 2.38 kg it is not a pocket speaker, and no independent measurements exist to confirm the claimed 20Hz bass extension. Techder Audios reports sizzling distortion at high volume with heavy bass boost and places it below the Xiaomi Sound Party and JBL Xtreme 5 on sound quality.
