The Super Linton is the far more balanced speaker. An 8-inch Kevlar woofer, a 5-inch midrange and a soft dome tweeter give wide coverage of about 70 degrees each side, strong dynamics and a preference score of 6.09, and the pair comes matched within about 1dB with stands. Its bass shelf lets it sit about 1 foot from a wall. Its impedance dips to about 3 ohms, so use a 4-ohm-stable amplifier.
The ATC SCM19 is a dense sealed monitor with an uneven balance. Its heavy pro-audio cabinet has no port noise, and distortion is generally low at 96dB. Audio Science Review found a broad lift from the midrange to the treble with too little bass, plus a resonance around 700Hz that adds distortion at higher volume.
Buy the Wharfedale Super Linton. It is rated higher for sound quality than the ATC SCM19 and costs less, so it is the default pick unless a specific strength of the other one matters more to you.
