The Glow is built around its lighting, not raw durability. Its pros describe a nice light show with front and rear illumination, plus a treble boosted about 7dB for a brighter tonal signature. Its cons are more of a concern for regular use: bass falls off quickly at louder volumes, leaving mostly treble, with audible distortion on bass-heavy tracks at full volume, and the light effects and bass boost noticeably shorten battery life. Its USB-C port also doesn’t support power-bank charging.
The Ranger trades the lighting for toughness. Its pros point to magnets for mounting and a build described as quite tough, though its cons still call the bass thuddy and not as deep as higher ranked speakers. The Glow has also been discontinued and is no longer sold new.
