These sit in different size classes, so this is not a straight ranking comparison. The Turtlebox Grande ranks #56 of 75 boombox speakers by sound quality at $700; the JBL Partybox 330 ranks #1 of 51 party speakers by sound quality at $629.95.
What the Turtlebox Grande offers: 10-inch woofer. IP67 submersible shell with crush-proof ABS exterior. 158Wh battery provides ~3 days of playback. Bluetooth 5.4, party mode (100+ speakers). The tradeoff: They pretty much lie about all their specs and sound just okay in all youtube sound samples. Only 100w will never hit 126db at a reasonable measuring distance. Putting your db meter right against the speaker doesn’t count, 1 meter distance is the standard.
The case for the JBL Partybox 330: Handle and wheels are convenient. Customizable lightshow. Removable battery. Slightly more power than the 310 and Stage 320 (280W vs 240W). Adds an optical TV input and USB-C lossless playback, plus dual mic and guitar inputs for karaoke and live sets. Set against that: Sound quality is nearly identical to the 310 and Stage 320 despite the power bump, so probably not worth an upgrade if you already own either of those. Removed the dedicated mic gain and microphone control knobs found on the 310/320.
Buy the Turtlebox Grande ($700) for a boombox speaker; the JBL Partybox 330 ($629.95) suits a party speaker instead.
If water resistance matters to you, the Turtlebox Grande at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the JBL Partybox 330 at IPX4 (splashing).

Pros: 10-inch woofer. IP67 submersible shell with crush-proof ABS exterior. 158Wh battery provides ~3 days of playback. Bluetooth 5.4, party mode (100+ speakers).
Cons: They pretty much lie about all their specs and sound just okay in all youtube sound samples. Only 100w will never hit 126db at a reasonable measuring distance. Putting your db meter right against the speaker doesn’t count, 1 meter distance is the standard. Barely any bass for a 10” woofer. Overpriced and not worth it.
