The Mini is IPX7 waterproof with 12 hours of battery, RGB lighting, app AAC support, TWS and USB-C charging, though it lacks quite a bit of bass. The Esquire 2 costs $177 more and doubles as a conferencing speakerphone with a 4-mic array plus noise and echo cancellation, but its bass is weak, its separation underwhelming and it sounds tinny at high volume. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 151 medium speakers, and the Earfun Uboom L, ranked #1 at $49.79, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Mini only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, start with the Earfun Uboom L instead.

Pros: IPX7 waterproof, excellent battery life (12 hours), RGB LED lighting, app support with AAC codec, true wireless stereo (TWS) capability, USB-C charging. Measured bass extension of ~85Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Lacking quite a bit of bass. Sounds hollow and thuddy. Just not great overall. Discontinued; Tribit has retired it, superseded by the Stormbox Mini+.
