Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox Lava for measured bass depth, the Xiaomi Sound Party for a lighter box with more features. The Lava is IP67 with 44Hz of measured -10dB extension, a 10-band app EQ and a 24-hour claimed battery, though XBass muddies the low end and clarity drops at max volume. The Sound Party is a 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) IP67 speaker with USB-C power-bank output, NFC and a 26-hour claimed battery, but one lab review found it flat and unclean.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Lava at $139.99 if you want a large speaker. Buy the Xiaomi Sound Party at $149.99 if you want a medium speaker instead.
