The case for the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2: pretty deep bass. The catch: it sounds quite muddy with boosted lower and upper bass, boosted treble around 6kHz, and Xbass mode makes the muddiness worse - it’s nowhere near as neutral and balanced as the original Stormbox Blast, a real downgrade unless max volume is all that matters to you.
What the Sony ULT Field 7 gets right: it sounds better than Sony’s own XG500. Set against that: still not as deep in the bass as the top-ranked speakers, plus a peak around 8kHz.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Sony ULT Field 7 and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.

Pros: Pretty deep bass.
Cons: Sounds quite muddy with the boosted lower and upper bass. Boosted treble around 6khz. Xbass mode makes it sound even more muddy. Nowhere near as neutral and balanced as the first Blast and a big downgrade unless you only care about max volume
