Short answer: the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3, if you are buying new. The Tribit Maxsound Plus ranks higher than it (#22 vs #98 of 157 medium speakers, 4.1/5 vs 3.0/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 is still sold new at $111.63.
The Tribit Maxsound Plus is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. Use XBass mode for flattest frequency response and balanced audio reproduction. Its bass reaches about 58Hz before falling 10dB, against 70Hz for the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3. At 1.3 lbs (595 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 at 2 lbs (925 g). It keeps a wired aux input, which the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 lacks. The catch: Slightly less deep bass than modern class leaders.
Why pick the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3: IP67 rated, floats, and survives drops from up to 1 meter. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Tribit Maxsound Plus lacks. Watch for: Not stereo, barely any bass.
Buy the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 if you want one new; the Tribit Maxsound Plus is discontinued, so only look for it used.

Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3: $111.63 Amazon eBay
Newer model: the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 4, ranked lower, rated 2.1/5.
Pros: IP67 rated, floats, and survives drops from up to 1 meter. 20 hour battery life: about double most speakers this size. Measured bass extension of 70Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not stereo, barely any bass. You can tell from the micro USB that they are just feeding you the same crap hardware over and over, this is inexcusable for a product released in 2018. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear.
