Teufel Rockster Go vs Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Short answer: the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2. It ranks #86 of 136 medium speakers by sound quality; the Teufel Rockster Go ranks #103.

What the Teufel Rockster Go gets right: Clear mid-range with bright treble, wide soundstage via Dynamore processing, IP67 waterproof and durable, solid battery life, compact design with carrying strap. The tradeoff: Rolled off treble, muffled sound, mids sound strange.

What the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 offers: IP67 rated and floats. Set against that: Not stereo, barely any bass, recessed treble.

One note: the Teufel Rockster Go is discontinued, but it still ranks #103 of 136 medium speakers by sound quality, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.

Buy the Teufel Rockster Go if the price matters more than sound quality. Buy the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 if sound quality matters more than the price.

If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the Teufel Rockster Go. It ranks near the bottom of the 136 medium speakers, so look higher up the list instead.

Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2: $80 Amazon

Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 ranking card

Pros: IP67 rated and floats. Compact and light enough to toss in a bag.

Cons: Not stereo, barely any bass, recessed treble. Slightly boosted 93hz upper bass Dip at 9khz. You can tell from the micro USB that they are just feeding you the same crap hardware over and over, this is inexcusable for a product released in 2019. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear.
