Short answer: the SVS SB-1000 PRO. It ranks #4 of 73 small powered subwoofers against #6 for the 3000 Micro, and it costs $200 less, which makes this an easy call.
The measured output numbers are not close. Across every tested frequency from 20Hz to 80Hz, the SB-1000 PRO outputs more SPL than the 3000 Micro, including 114.5dB versus 104.7dB at 50Hz and 109.1dB versus 97.6dB at 40Hz. That gap adds up to a CEA-2010-A average of 113.9dB for the SB-1000 PRO against 107.5dB for the 3000 Micro, described in our notes as the highest output of any subwoofer in the under-30 lbs (13.6 kg) weight class.
The driver approach differs too. The SB-1000 PRO uses a single 12 inch sealed driver, while the 3000 Micro relies on two smaller 8 inch drivers in a more compact 10.9 inch cabinet. The smaller footprint doesn’t translate into a measurement advantage here; the 3000 Micro is both quieter at every frequency and about 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg) lighter, and it also costs more.
Everything else matches: both use a sealed enclosure, carry a 5 year warranty, come in black or white, and are built in the United States.
Buy the SVS SB-1000 PRO for higher measured output at every frequency, a lower price, and the better rank in its class.
Buy the SVS 3000 Micro only if its smaller cabinet dimensions are the deciding factor for a tight installation space.
