Short answer: the Motion 300, once you apply the EQ our notes recommend. It ranks #2 of 142 medium speakers at $79.99; the PA1 ranks #54 at $39.99, $40 less.
The Motion 300’s stock tuning needs real correction. Without the recommended EQ or manually maxing the top two treble bands, our notes say it’s very rolled off in the treble and would rank around #50. Applying it unlocks a genuinely unusual feature: separate custom EQ profiles for standing, lying flat, or hanging orientation.
The PA1 is more straightforward: use its bass mode for the flattest response, with pretty deep bass for the money, though peaks in the upper mids, low treble, and a big peak in the upper treble remain.
Buy the Motion 300 if you’re willing to apply the EQ, for a much higher ceiling. Buy the PA1 for a simpler, cheaper speaker that doesn’t need the same setup work.
There is a real battery-life gap here: the Tozo PA1 is rated for 25 hours, the Soundcore Motion 300 only 13 hours.

Pros: Pretty deep bass for the small size. Pocket size in a big pocket. Can be used in stereo facing you, or omnidirectional lying down. Ability to have a custom EQ for each orientation, standing, lying flat, hanging. Try the Uboom L EQs from Oluv for a more neutral sound. Measured bass extension of 50Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings. Bassup mode is worse than Signature. Not quite as detailed or neutral as higher ranked speakers. Slight bass distortion when turned up.

Pros: Tozo PA1 uses 67mm fullrange. Its 581 g, claimed 25 hours (Manufacturer specified) battery life, IPX6 protection, up to 98dB and mono playback make it a practical option for its intended room or portable use. Measured bass extension of 52Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Bass is limited by its 52Hz specification. There is no companion app. No EQ adjustment.
