Short answer: the Soundcore Motion 300. It ranks #3 of 164 medium speakers by sound quality (rated 4.5/5) at $79.99 and is still sold new; the EFM Toledo ranks #152 (rated 2.2/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used.
The Soundcore Motion 300 is the better-sounding option. Pretty deep bass for the small size. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the EFM Toledo. It charges over USB-C rather than Micro USB. The catch: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings.
The EFM Toledo is the lighter option. A compact 1.1 lbs (500 g) speaker with dual drivers, IPX6 protection, speakerphone capability, TWS pairing and a claimed 15-hour battery life. At 1.1 lbs (500 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Soundcore Motion 300 at 1.7 lbs (772 g). The catch: With only 10W output, bass is very limited and treble rolls off early, so music lacks the weight, detail and headroom of stronger portable speakers.
Buy the Soundcore Motion 300. It is rated higher for sound quality; the EFM Toledo is no longer sold new.

Soundcore Motion 300: $79.99 Amazon eBay
Older model: the Soundcore Motion+ (ranked lower, rated 4.4/5).
Smaller model: the Soundcore Motion 100 (ranked lower, rated 3.7/5).
Larger models: the Soundcore Motion X500 (rated 4.1/5) and the Soundcore Motion X600 (rated 4.3/5).
Pros: Pretty deep bass for the small size. Pocket size in a big pocket. Can be used in stereo facing you, or omnidirectional lying down. Ability to have a custom EQ for each orientation, standing, lying flat, hanging. Try the Uboom L EQs from Oluv for a more neutral sound. Measured bass extension of 50Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings. Bassup mode is worse than Signature. Not quite as detailed or neutral as higher ranked speakers. Slight bass distortion when turned up.

EFM Toledo: $99 Discontinued eBay
Pros: A compact 500g speaker with dual drivers, IPX6 protection, speakerphone capability, TWS pairing and a claimed 15-hour battery life. Its simple, rugged format makes it easy to carry for podcasts, background music and casual use around water.
Cons: With only 10W output, bass is very limited and treble rolls off early, so music lacks the weight, detail and headroom of stronger portable speakers. It has no aux input, app or EQ, and this discontinued model is best considered only if its compact weather-resistant design is the priority.
