The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is the better-sounding pick. Lights on top. It links with other speakers (PartyCast up to 100 speakers), which the Tribit PocketGo cannot. The catch: Rolled off highs.
The Tribit PocketGo is the longer-running option. Fuller low end than the JBL Go 5, despite the JBL’s clearer, more typical JBL sound. It is rated for 20 hours of battery against 15 for the Soundcore Mini 3 Pro. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Soundcore Mini 3 Pro lacks. The tradeoff: Battery life isn’t the biggest for this speaker class. JBL Go 5 has better build quality plus lightshow, Auracast, and AirTouch.

Soundcore Mini 3 Pro: $30 Discontinued eBay
Pros: Lights on top. Deeper bass than most other speakers in the size. Measured bass extension of 58Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Rolled off highs. Real-world battery life falls well short of the 15-hour claim at higher volumes. Buttons are hard to see (black print on black housing) and it won’t multipoint to two phones at once. Discontinued and no longer sold new.

Can stand, hang from its loop, or lay flat on its feet for flexible placement. About on par with the Soundcore Select 4 Go, and a touch louder at lower volumes. App support with signature EQ and customization.
