Short answer: the Soundboks Mix, and it’s also the only one still sold new. It ranks #24 of 39 party speakers at $799; the Go ranked #25 at roughly the same price before being discontinued. GYMCADDY put the two head-to-head on YouTube, and the ranking gap between them is small enough that availability alone settles it.
One note: the Soundboks Go is no longer in production and isn’t widely stocked new anymore.
The Mix adds real weatherproofing the Go never had. It carries an IP65 rating for dust and water jets, while the Go has no water resistance rating at all. The Mix also charges over USB-C at up to 65W and supports TeamUp linking with up to 5 other SKAA-equipped Soundboks speakers, the same linking system the Go used.
The Go was the more powerful speaker on paper. It ran dual 72W amplifiers in true stereo against the Mix’s single 72W channel and single 10-inch woofer, and its own notes praised premium audio quality and a durable ABS polycarbonate shell with rubber bumpers built for vehicle adventures. Its documented downsides were the same tradeoffs the Mix still carries: not as neutral or bass-heavy as the top Partyboxes, and an external power brick for charging rather than USB-C.
The Mix has its own sound tradeoffs. Reviewers note it doesn’t reach as deep a bass as higher-ranked speakers and can sound somewhat bright in the treble, and dropping to a single woofer means less raw output than the Go or the larger Soundboks 4.
Buy the Soundboks Mix. It’s the current model, adds water resistance the Go lacked, and ranks essentially even with it on sound.
Buy the Soundboks Go only if you find one secondhand and specifically want its stereo output and rugged shell; it’s no longer sold new.

Cons: Doesn’t have as deep of bass as higher-ranked speakers, and can sound somewhat bright in the treble. Only 72W of output and a single 10-inch woofer, less powerful than the Soundboks Go or Soundboks 4, and no microphone input for karaoke like the Pro Panel models.

Pros: Exceptional 40-hour battery life at mid-volume (10 hours at full volume), swappable design (second battery $200 available). 7.8Ah Li-ion with external charging option and pass-through charging capability. 121dB max volume (Bass+ mode). Premium audio quality, durable ABS polycarbonate with rubberized bumpers. Portable enough for vehicle adventures. High efficiency drivers reach 2-3x the volume of typical speakers for the same wattage. Measured bass extension of 55Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not as loud as the other Soundboks. Not as neutral or as much bass as the above Partyboxes. Not stereo. External power brick for charging. Discontinued; Soundboks has removed it from their lineup and the product page is gone. Discontinued.
