The Stinger measures unusually deep for this size class. Its vendor data shows 42Hz measured bass extension, unusually deep in this group, from a rugged birch-plywood cabinet with a dual-tilt pole socket and two-channel input section built for repeated live work. Despite the bass reach, its own cons note only a 4.97 preference score because the broader response and directivity behavior is uneven, and at 45 lbs (20.4 kg) it is heavier than the HD 12-A MK5.
