Short answer: the Raymate R5, though neither is a bass pick. The Tribit Stormbox Mini+ has the better feature set, with IPX7 waterproofing, app EQ presets, AAC, TWS, USB-C charging and a built-in mic, but our notes call it not a great sounding speaker with really weak bass. The R5 ranks #124 of 179 against the Tribit’s #145 of 179, and adds 20W output, Bluetooth 5.0 and a passive radiator, but its bass is also thin. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 179 medium speakers, and the EarFun Uboom L, ranked #2 at $49.79, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Mini+, since the Raymate R5 is discontinued and only worth hunting down used.
