Why pick the Loewe We. Hear Pro: A true stereo speaker with two 70mm woofers, two 25mm tweeters and two passive radiators, and its stereo separation is a standout: in side by side listening it had a wider, more detailed soundstage than the JBL Xtreme 4, with a spacious presentation reminiscent of the old Denon Envaya. The tradeoff: It runs out of headroom quickly: above about 70% volume the bass drops away, the treble gets harsher, and near maximum there is heavy compression and clipping, so the JBL Xtreme 4, Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max all sound fuller and cleaner when played loud.

Pros: A true stereo speaker with two 70mm woofers, two 25mm tweeters and two passive radiators, and its stereo separation is a standout: in side by side listening it had a wider, more detailed soundstage than the JBL Xtreme 4, with a spacious presentation reminiscent of the old Denon Envaya. At low and moderate volume (up to roughly 60 to 70%) its bass reaches deep enough to shake furniture, and its warm, balanced midrange made it the preferred pick over the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max for background and indoor listening. Bass and treble sliders on the speaker let you tune it without an app. Claimed 24 hours of battery, IPX6 water resistance, USB-C fast charging, a power bank output, an aux input, AAC support and multi-pairing with up to 14 speakers.
Cons: It runs out of headroom quickly: above about 70% volume the bass drops away, the treble gets harsher, and near maximum there is heavy compression and clipping, so the JBL Xtreme 4, Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max all sound fuller and cleaner when played loud. Pros: 40+ hour battery life with a user-replaceable battery, strap, sleeve and grilles. Doubles as a USB-C power bank. IP55 dust/water resistance. App includes parametric EQ, a Soundstage widening control, and wall/corner placement compensation. Endless-rotation control knobs.
Cons: Highs are recessed by default and need the treble control maxed to compensate, still lacking detail even then. Bass tends to sound resonant and boomy, with reported frequency cancellation and phase issues on complex material that EQ doesn’t fully resolve. Oluv’s A/B testing against the outgoing Stockwell II finds the default tuning muffled and muddy enough to prefer the seven-year-old original out of the box, and output loses dynamics and bass while turning harsh well below maximum volume. No aptX support.
