The Stinger measures deeper than any RCF-priced alternative in this tier. Its vendor data shows a 4.10 ideal-subwoofer preference score with 39Hz measured extension, the deepest bass reach of any RCF-priced alternative at this price point, in an affordable 15-inch active box. Its cons acknowledge the preference score itself is modest and its 90° x 50° horn is narrower than several higher-scoring competitors, and at 59.1 lbs (26.8 kg) it is one of the heavier budget-tier boxes here.
The ART 745-A MK4 is a discontinued flagship with real vocal headroom. It carries the largest ART7 compression driver, a 3-inch diaphragm, with a 133dB claimed peak in a light 41.4 lbs (18.8 kg) enclosure, wider coverage at 100° x 60°, and RCF’s FiRPHASE, EQ, limiting and protection built in.
