Klipsch Gig XXL vs Marshall Bromley 450

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Short answer: the Klipsch Gig XXL. Both are rated 3.7/5 for sound quality (#23 and #24 of 44 party speakers), and the Klipsch Gig XXL costs $79.99 against $649.95 for the Marshall Bromley 450, so with nothing between them on sound quality, price settles it.

Klipsch Gig XXL vs Marshall Bromley 450

The Klipsch Gig XXL is the lighter choice. A straightforward 18.1 lbs (8.2 kg) party speaker with a large 8-inch woofer, horn tweeter, aux and USB playback, guitar and microphone inputs, karaoke reverb, TWS pairing and a USB-A power bank. At 18.1 lbs (8.2 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Marshall Bromley 450 at 27.1 lbs (12.3 kg). The tradeoff: Bass is more warm than deep and can become muddy at high volume.

The Marshall Bromley 450 is the longer-running, tougher option. A balanced, warm sound with a flat midrange that keeps vocals and instruments clear, plenty of bass rumble and enough treble for energetic vocals, per RTINGS’ lab tests. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 8 for the Klipsch Gig XXL. It is rated IP55, while the Klipsch Gig XXL has no water resistance. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Klipsch Gig XXL lacks. The catch: It is the quietest of its rivals: both the Soundboks Mix and Teufel Rockster Air 2 play louder, and near max volume the bass recedes and the sound gets less composed.

Buy the Klipsch Gig XXL. Both are rated the same for sound quality, and it costs $569.96 less than the Marshall Bromley 450.

Klipsch Gig XXL ranking card

Pros: A straightforward 8.2kg party speaker with a large 8-inch woofer, horn tweeter, aux and USB playback, guitar and microphone inputs, karaoke reverb, TWS pairing and a USB-A power bank. Independent testing confirms that it gets remarkably loud and gives EDM and hip-hop a lively, bass-forward character. Really good value for the money.

Cons: Bass is more warm than deep and can become muddy at high volume. There is no app or proper EQ beyond a Bass button, no water rating, and the claimed eight-hour battery life is short for an outdoor party speaker. It is a fun, simple option, but not the cleanest or most flexible choice.

Marshall Bromley 450 ranking card

Pros: A balanced, warm sound with a flat midrange that keeps vocals and instruments clear, plenty of bass rumble and enough treble for energetic vocals, per RTINGS’ lab tests. Drivers on all four sides keep the tonal balance nearly the same from any angle, and M1M Tech Channel found it more open and airy than the Soundboks Mix and Teufel Rockster Air 2, with deeper bass than both. RTINGS measured 18.8 hours of battery from a swappable LiFePO4 pack shared with the Bromley 750, and it adds IP55 protection, two XLR/6.35mm combo inputs, USB-C audio, Auracast and physical bass and treble knobs.

Cons: It is the quietest of its rivals: both the Soundboks Mix and Teufel Rockster Air 2 play louder, and near max volume the bass recedes and the sound gets less composed. The warm tuning lacks some fine treble detail. There is no graphic EQ, only bass and treble knobs, and its stereo spreads left and right channels around the cabinet, so panned elements can land on the wrong side. At 12.3 kg it has a carry handle but no wheels.
