The JBL is the far more complete package. Reviewers report better midrange clarity than the older Partybox 310 and the same deep party-speaker bass, though the sound improvement over the Partybox Stage 320 specifically is modest rather than transformational, so upgrading from either of those models just for the higher wattage isn’t worth it. One real drawback: JBL removed the dedicated mic gain and control knobs found on earlier models, a downside if you do a lot of karaoke.
The Klipsch delivers a genuinely fun, loud sound for a fraction of the price, with real compromises. Water resistance and durability also favor the JBL. It carries an IPX4 splash rating that the Klipsch lacks entirely, and it still includes a USB-C power bank function alongside guitar and microphone inputs and karaoke mode with an echo effect, versus the Klipsch’s reverb-only karaoke mode.
Buy the JBL Partybox 330 if you want the more complete, cleaner-sounding party speaker and can justify the price for the extra features and battery life.
Buy the Klipsch Gig XXL if you want a loud, straightforward party speaker for the money and can live without an app, real EQ, or water resistance.
