Watch for: It cannot produce the deep rumble of a larger speaker, and bass compression increases near maximum volume.
The case for the Devialet Mania: A compact, good looking Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stereo speaker with Alexa built in and splash resistance. It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Xtreme 4 lacks. The tradeoff: Not very loud.
Buy the JBL Xtreme 4. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Devialet Mania and costs less, so only choose the other one for a particular feature it does better.
