JBL Partybox Stage 320 vs JBL Boombox 3

Last updated: September 26, 2026

These sit in different size classes, so this is not a straight ranking comparison. The JBL Partybox Stage 320 ranks #3 of 40 party speakers by sound quality at $499.95; the JBL Boombox 3 ranks #24 of 76 boombox speakers by sound quality at $399.

JBL Partybox Stage 320 vs JBL Boombox 3

A party speaker against a boombox. The Stage 320 is a 16.5 kg party speaker on wheels with two 6.5 inch woofers and 240W. The Boombox 3 is a 6.7 kg boombox with a handle. Each is rated within its own class.

The Stage 320 is the better party speaker. It keeps more bass at high volume than the PartyBox 310, has a removable battery with a claimed 18 hours, mic and guitar inputs, a light show, Auracast and a 5-band app EQ. It can get a little sibilant at full blast.

The Boombox 3 is the rugged one. It is IP67 against the Stage 320’s IPX4, claims 24 hours, and measured about 110dB with bass reaching about 43Hz. Its tuning is bass boosted with a dip in the mid bass that makes bass sound undefined, and it has no EQ. It uses the older PartyBoost linking, not Auracast.

Buy the JBL Partybox Stage 320 ($499.95) for a party speaker; the JBL Boombox 3 ($399) suits a boombox speaker instead.
