The PartyBox Club 120 is the clearer, deeper party speaker. Two 5.25-inch woofers and two tweeters give quite neutral sound with deeper bass than the PartyBox 100 and 110, and it has a 5-band EQ, a karaoke mic input with echo, lights, wheels and Auracast. Its battery is rated for 12 hours and it weighs 23.8 lbs (10.8 kg).
The Hyperboom is the lighter, longer-running block. At 13 lbs (5.9 kg) it claims 24 hours at half volume, adapts its bass to nearby walls, and has aux and optical inputs and a USB port for charging a phone. Its sound is a bit dull and muddy, it is not very loud for its class, and it charges from an external brick.
Buy the JBL Partybox Club 120. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom and costs less, so it is the default pick unless a specific strength of the other one matters more to you.
If water resistance matters to you, the JBL Partybox Club 120 at IPX4 (splashing) holds up far better than the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom at no water resistance.
