JBL Partybox 100 vs LG XL7

Last updated: August 18, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Partybox 100. It ranks #6 of 50 party speakers by sound quality at $449.99; the LG XL7 ranks #22 and costs $496.19, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.

What the JBL Partybox 100 gets right: Quite neutral sound, pretty deep bass. The catch: A slight peak in the upper mids.

On the LG XL7 side: Wheels and handle. Set against that: Treble is recessed, bass isn’t as deep as a Partybox 310.

Buy the JBL Partybox 100. It ranks higher for sound quality than the LG XL7 and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.

If battery life is a priority, the LG XL7 is rated for 20 hours versus 12 hours for the JBL Partybox 100.

If water resistance matters to you, the LG XL7 at IPX4 (splashing) holds up far better than the JBL Partybox 100 at no water resistance.

Pros: Quite neutral sound, pretty deep bass.

Cons: A slight peak in the upper mids. Slight TWS issue where the 2nd is slightly delayed. Just as loud and slightly deeper bass than a Stormbox Blast which is way smaller with better sound quality. Note, JBL daisychain is not compatible with any other non-JBL speaker and is possibly a fully digital signal. Discontinued.
