The Ultimate Ears Roll 2’s replacement, the Ultimate Ears Miniroll, is still sold new.
The JBL Flip 6 is the better-sounding option. A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size, a huge sound quality leap over the JBL Flip 5. It charges over USB-C rather than Micro USB. Watch for: Some slight upper mids emphasis.
The Ultimate Ears Roll 2 is the lighter choice. Thin, flat profile fits easily in a bag or purse. At 0.7 lbs (330 g) it weighs much less than the JBL Flip 6 at 1.2 lbs (544 g). It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Flip 6 lacks. The tradeoff: Barely any bass, rolled off treble off axis.
Buy the JBL Flip 6. It is rated higher for sound quality; the Ultimate Ears Roll 2 is no longer sold new.

Cons: Not stereo. Some slight upper mids emphasis. The TL version (made in Vietnam) tweeter can sound somewhat scratchy and doesn’t sound as good as the GG version (made in China)
