The Authentics 200 is a genuinely different kind of speaker, not just a pricier Bluetooth box. It connects over Wi-Fi with AirPlay, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect built in, and supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant simultaneously, which our notes call rare at this size. The Acton III has no Wi-Fi at all, connecting only over Bluetooth or a wired aux input. Reviewers rate the Authentics 200’s sound as well balanced and close to the pricier Authentics 300, and it measured about 113dB at 1kHz on max volume, matching that larger model despite its smaller cabinet.
Both speakers share the same core bass limitation. The Authentics 200’s own notes call out bass that isn’t as deep as others, and the Acton III’s only documented con is the same complaint: not as deep bass as competitors in its class. Neither is the pick if deep bass output is your top priority.

Pros: At 2.85 kg, Marshall Acton III combines 4” (midrange/woofer), 1x 4” midrange, 2x 0.75” Dome tweeters with Bluetooth, Aux. Ac-powered operation and limited-stereo playback make its feature set practical for its intended room or portable use.
