These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The Harman Kardon Citation 200 ranks #13 of 117 large speakers by sound quality at $130; the Sonos Roam 2 ranks #93 of 178 medium speakers by sound quality at $178.
What the Harman Kardon Citation 200 does well: A portable smart speaker with Wi-Fi, Google Assistant and deep bass for its size, now discontinued but worth buying used. Watch for: Overly boomy by default, you can short press the Bluetooth and volume down buttons simultaneously to decrease the bass, and the Bluetooth and volume up buttons simultaneously to increase it.
The Sonos Roam 2 is the lighter choice. A small Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speaker with water resistance, Alexa built in and Sonos multiroom support. At 0.9 lbs (429 g) it weighs much less than the Harman Kardon Citation 200 at 6.3 lbs (2.85 kg). It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Harman Kardon Citation 200 lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Harman Kardon Citation 200 lacks. The tradeoff: Exact same sound quality as the original Sonos Roam.
One note: the Harman Kardon Citation 200 is discontinued, but it still ranks #13 of 117 large speakers by sound quality, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.
Buy the Harman Kardon Citation 200 ($130) for a large speaker; the Sonos Roam 2 ($178) suits a medium speaker instead.
