Harman Kardon Citation 200 vs Sonos Move 2

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Short answer: the Harman Kardon Citation 200. It ranks #13 of 77 large speakers by sound quality at $130; the Sonos Move 2 ranks #25 and costs $399, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.

What the Harman Kardon Citation 200 gets right: Deeper bass than any Onyx. Watch for: Overly boomy by default, you can short press the Bluetooth and volume down buttons simultaneously to decrease the bass, and the Bluetooth and volume up buttons simultaneously to increase it.

The case for the Sonos Move 2: Warm sounding with somewhat rolled off treble. Slightly better midrange clarity than the Move 1. The catch: Not very loud. This may have some of the same issues at full volume that the Move 1 had too, but I’ll need more sound samples at full volume to verify.

Buy the Harman Kardon Citation 200. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Sonos Move 2 and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.

If battery life is a priority, the Sonos Move 2 is rated for 24 hours versus 8 hours for the Harman Kardon Citation 200.
