Pros: An 8” woofer and 1” metal dome tweeter behind Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide, specified at ±1.5dB from 38Hz to 20kHz and down to 33Hz at -6dB, deep enough for most music without a subwoofer. GLM software measures your room and sets level, delay and EQ for each speaker automatically. 350W of amplification per speaker gives 112dB short-term output, with analog XLR and AES/EBU digital inputs.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared with ranked speakers. At 12.8kg and 452mm tall it needs solid stands, GLM calibration needs the separately sold GLM kit, and there is no RCA input for consumer gear.

Cons: A 2.7dB response span from 300Hz to 5kHz and a dip around 2kHz keep it below the strongest tonal performers. Port-related response features and high-level distortion also warrant attention. Unlike the SAM models, it does not provide GLM room calibration. Discontinued.
