Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 for sound, with a battery caveat on the Fugoo Sport. The Micro 2 is called best in class for sound, though its finicky phone charging usually does not work. The Fugoo Sport sounds pretty neutral with slight upper mids peaks, but its battery life is well short of the original Fugoo’s 40 hours at about 10 hours.
Buy the Fugoo Sport ($33) for a medium speaker; the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 ($35.39) suits a small speaker instead.
