Short answer: the Doss E-Go II on value, despite its flaws, though neither ranks well in its class. It is very portable and water bottle sized with true IPX6 waterproofing, 12-hour battery life, fast Bluetooth pairing and a $39.90 price against $289 for the LG Xboom Go PL5. Our notes call it horribly bad unless turned up and still not great, while the LG runs 18 hours and is IPX5 rated but has barely any bass. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 151 medium speakers, and the Earfun Uboom L, ranked #1 at $49.79, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
Buy the Doss E-Go II. It is rated higher for sound quality than the LG Xboom Go PL5 and costs less, so only choose the other one for a particular feature it does better.
