These sit in different size classes, so this is not a straight ranking comparison. The Bose Soundlink Micro ranks #19 of 47 small speakers by sound quality at $88.88; the Teufel Rockster 2 ranks #3 of 11 large party speakers by sound quality at $1269.94.
What the Bose Soundlink Micro gets right: A rugged, rubberized IP67 build that survives a 1m dunk for 30 minutes, in a very compact, pocketable 0.68 lb package. Set against that: it lacks clarity and bass is overly boosted.
The case for the Teufel Rockster 2: It sounds better and more evenly tuned than the JBL Partybox 720, its horn-loaded tweeter delivers far more consistent off-axis sound than the Partybox 720’s comb-filtering dual tweeters, it gets louder without distorting, and it projects clearly and evenly over long outdoor distances. The catch: bass doesn’t dig quite as deep as the Partybox 720’s, and output drops off further at high volume.
Buy the Bose Soundlink Micro at $88.88 if you want a small speaker. Buy the Teufel Rockster 2 at $1269.94 if you want a large party speaker instead.
If battery life is a priority, the Teufel Rockster 2 is rated for 15 hours versus 6 hours for the Bose Soundlink Micro.
If water resistance matters to you, the Bose Soundlink Micro at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Teufel Rockster 2 at IPX2 (light drips).

Teufel Rockster 2: $1,269.94
Pros: Sounds better and more evenly tuned than the JBL Partybox 720. Horn-loaded tweeter gives far more consistent off-axis sound, unlike the Partybox 720’s dual tweeters, which suffer from comb-filtering interference. Gets louder without distorting - the Partybox 720 starts breaking up at high volume well before this does. Projects clearly over long outdoor distances, covering a large area evenly.
Cons: Not quite as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 720. Bass output drops off further at high volume.
