These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd gen ranks #33 of 134 medium speakers at $129; the Harman Kardon Citation 200 ranks #13 of 75 large speakers at $130.
On the Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd gen side: Pretty much identical sounding to the 1st gen. The catch: Not stereo.
The case for the Harman Kardon Citation 200: Deeper bass than any Onyx. The catch: Overly boomy by default, you can short press the Bluetooth and volume down buttons simultaneously to decrease the bass.
One note: the Harman Kardon Citation 200 is discontinued, but it still ranks #13 of 75 large speakers, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used.
Buy the Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd gen at $129 if you want a medium speaker. Buy the Harman Kardon Citation 200 at $130 if you want a large speaker instead.
