Short answer: the Marshall Stockwell II if you listen at moderate levels, because neither is built to blast. Our notes call it possibly the most natural sounding Marshall speaker, but it is not very loud, and the B&O A1 2nd gen shows pumping sound artifacts above 60% volume, so it is only good for lower listening levels. The B&O is more neutral than the first A1 but has less deep bass than the A1.
Buy the B&O Beosound A1 2nd gen ($395) for a medium speaker; the Marshall Stockwell II ($229.99) suits a large speaker instead.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the B&O Beosound A1 2nd gen at IP67 (brief submersion) against the Marshall Stockwell II, which has IPX4 (splashing).
