Short answer: the JBL Go 3 for pocketability at $39.95 against the P2’s $170. It is genuinely pocket-sized at 0.5 lbs (209 g), but it has not much bass at all and a strange mids peak. The B&O Beoplay P2’s surprisingly strong bass for its size without distorting at volume is still its calling card, though it is good for its time and now beat out by many others.
Buy the JBL Go 3 new; the B&O Beoplay P2 is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.
If water resistance matters to you, the JBL Go 3 at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the B&O Beoplay P2 at no water resistance.
