Adam Audio T5V vs KRK Rokit 5 G4

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Short answer: the T5V, on both ranking and price. It ranks #8 of 25 powered bookshelf speakers at $239.99; the Rokit 5 G4 ranks #11 at $337, $97 more.

Both get benchmarked against the same Yamaha HS5. Our notes credit the T5V with better vocal detail and low end than the HS5, and the Rokit 5 G4 with deeper bass than it, plus good horizontal directivity from its waveguided tweeter and low distortion that scales gradually with volume.

Each has its own tradeoff. The T5V’s AMT tweeter runs an elevated, slightly uneven top end shared across Adam’s T-series; the Rokit 5 G4 is described as a little more hifi sounding and not quite as good for mixing as the HS5.

Buy the T5V for the stronger ranking and the lower price. Buy the Rokit 5 G4 if its onboard DSP room correction specifically matters for your setup.

Adam Audio T5V ranking card

Pros: Better than the HS5 in terms of vocals detail and better low end.

Cons: Elevated, slightly uneven top end from the AMT tweeter, shared with Adam’s other T-series monitors - the rear treble trim only tilts the response rather than flattening it. Distortion, while better controlled than most speakers in this price range, isn’t reference quality.

Pros: Deeper bass than the HS5. Good horizontal directivity - the small woofer mates well with the waveguided tweeter. Distortion is quite low at 86dB SPL and scales gradually with volume rather than breaking up suddenly, tweeter hiss is nearly inaudible, and the onboard DSP/app lets you dial in EQ, including for the 680Hz port resonance.

Cons: Not quite as detailed as the HS5, not as good for mixing. A little more hifi sounding
