#44 Schiit Modius E: $229 Discontinued eBay
Pros: Audio Science Review measured 111 dB SINAD, and it has both XLR and RCA outputs with an unusually wide choice of inputs: USB, optical, coaxial and AES.
Cons: Discontinued, so it is mainly found used. There is no headphone output or volume control, so it needs a separate amplifier or preamp.
