Pros: The successor to Kali’s original, now-discontinued LP-8, following the same generational upgrade Kali gave the LP-6: 12dB lower noise floor, 3dB higher output, and a revised waveguide with boundary EQ trim switches. Measures a -3dB extension of 39.6Hz with a close-to-neutral tonal balance (a slope of 0.07dB per octave).
Cons: On-axis deviation of 0.61dB and 0.298 on-axis smoothness are middling for the price, with a directivity-index standard deviation of 3.63 and predicted in-room smoothness of 0.44, both unremarkable either way.
