#10 Genelec 8030B Discontinued Estimated eBay
Newer model: the Genelec 8030C, ranked higher, rated 4.6/5.
Older model: the Genelec 8030A (ranked lower, estimated 4.4/5). See every Genelec 8000 and 8300 Series generation.
Pros: The 2013 generation between the Genelec 8030A and the Genelec 8030C, a 5” woofer and 3/4” tweeter in a die-cast aluminum enclosure with a Directivity Control Waveguide and 80W of bi-amplification. Genelec rates bass to 55Hz (-3dB).
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared with ranked speakers. Discontinued in 2017, and the 8030C that replaced it plays about 4dB louder. A 5” woofer needs a subwoofer for full-range music.
