Pros: A compact active 3-way with dual 5-inch woofers, an AMT tweeter, 150W of amplification per cabinet and unusually useful onboard DSP. Spinorama’s local snapshot gives it a 5.12 preference score with a subwoofer and 51Hz low-frequency extension; its smooth sound-power and predicted-room curves support nearfield mixing use.
Cons: The raw 2.76 preference score is modest for a premium monitor, so a subwoofer and some DSP correction are worthwhile. The horizontal cabinet is wide, analog input is single-channel, and each speaker costs about $1,300.
